love the chicken balls and shanghai chowmein
It's our family tradition to order Chinese food for New Years so this year we ordered from Mayflower. It was a fairly long wait to get the food but we were expecting as much when considering the day. It ended up being well worth the wait. Everything was really delicious, and it's a really good value too, the portions are pretty massive compared to other places I've been to before.
The food is your average tasting take out food,I wouldnt say it was terrible but whats with some of the "best" food in Etobicoke. If this is the best I really hate to taste the worst.Portions were good, the veggies were so bland, rice was on the greasy side and the flour on the breaded dishes was terrible.
Phenomenal food, I've just started going here a few months ago and keep coming back because of the great food and really cheap prices. The Shanghai noodles rule.
OMG THE BEST CHINESE FOOD IN ALL OF ETOBICOKE!!! THE PRICE IS REALLY GOOD SERVICE AMAZING THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS I LOVE TO GO AND EAT THERE I HAVE HONESTLY NEVER MET ANYONE WHO DOESNT LIKE THE FOOD
We had a dinner party feeding 10 people, the food came on time hot and so great tasting. The staff were very helpful putting together an order for me. I was surprised how much food I got for the price I paid the portions were great and so amazing I will order from there again for sure.
The food is so amazing here. The chicken balls have so much chicken in them. If you order something deep fried it is going to be greasy get over it. THe food is so amazing, the staff are really good at trying to help you out on what you want if you have no idea. I would tell everyone that Mayflower is the only Chinese food place to eat from. I have had family from out of the province look forward to coming over and ordering Mayflower.
The food is average, went there on a recommendations and it was disappointing to say the least.Order some noodles (bland and oily) and the rice had a burnt smell to it.The store decor is from the 70's and the service was slow even though there werent any other orders on the go.
Try it on recommendation from a neighbor and to honest I didnt expect too much from the location. The expectations was as expected. The food wasnt that great, was going to phone back and complain but I let it pass and try my old location. The food had a burnt smell to it,the variety of ingredients in each dish was average at best. The regulars like their food because probably they havent try anywhere else.I would not recommend this place to a friend,I dont want them to be disappointed as well.
I'd order from here again the portions are good and food taste is great.. Fast service People are nice and cost is great.
the food is off the hook.. the chiccken balls dont look like chicken but taste good.. they give u a gallon of sauce and ther serving of rice is huge.. good deal it sot me 7 bucks for a combo with a drink
I just ordered some food for delivery and now I'm so sorry that I even bothered. The food is so greasy that as a mechanic I can now add it too my engine oil if I wanted too. The won ton soup needs just one little thing, Flavor!!.This has to be the worst soup and the most bland that I've ever tasted. The only part of the meal that was possibly worth eating was the Beef and Vegetables (was actually not bad) The chicken balls taste like rubber mixed with a ton of grease and same goes for the lemon chicken (if it can be called lemon chicken) I will NOT be placing another order with this place and I would suggest that people avoid this place at all cost !! $34 for garbage is too much, even in Toronto
I, as many of the other individuals, have been a customer for about 20 years. The food has always been amazing....everyone has to remember this is "take-out" and for "take-out" its one of the best in the city. The actual establishment itself is nothing to look at and old but I have never had an issue with their food and their service. I love it as do many Etobicokians. For everyone who has written a nasty review....its unfortunate you feel that way. You have no idea how wrong you are!
POSSIBLY THE BEST CHINESE RESTAURANT IN TORONTO. I AM ACTUALLY SURPRISED TO SEE THAT SOME PEOPLE DONT LIKE IT. I HAVE NEVER MET SOMEONE THAT HASNT SAID IT WAS AMAZING! THE STORE IS VERY OLD AND A LITTLE DIRTY, BUT EVERYONE ORDERS FOR DELIVERY !
I kind of agree with all the raters so far of this place. Yes the food had flavour, and yes however, it's one of the greasiest place for food. The canotonese chow mein is full of flavour, but could it be any greasier? i agree with the previous rater that the food is flavourful and nice, but i also agree with the previous 3 raters before that this place could improve on some areas.
Somewhat underdone on the chicken-- and some was dry
greasiest food in toronto. it was completely disgusting
First of all, the people serving us were very rude, we have requested to have things more well done and they said that the chef will know when the meat is going to be cooked properly. And as soon as we got the food, the meat was not fully cooked. I was so disappointed. the fried rice was okay, nothing exceptional here. cantonese chow mein is too dried, can have a bit more sauce. and the combo number 3 and 4 just lack the quality
Food was fresh and cooked quickly for me. Enjoyed very much.
Best Chinese food in Toronto. I have been eating at Mayflower for over 15 years and nothing else can compare. Its a jem in Etobicoke.
