We purchased a spa package from pamper me spa a few months ago as a gift for my mother in law. When she went to use her gift she only wanted to use the massage portion of the package and return at a later time for the rest of her services... The woman behind the desk had no issues with doing that and suggested she upgrade her massage for an additional charge of $10 to which she gladly accepted. After the massage was finished the woman began to inform my mother in law that having upgraded her massage nullified her ability to use the other services and she would be forced to pay full price. To add insult to injury, the woman charged my mother in law over $20 for the massage which they had agreed would cost $10. When she asked for an explanation the woman spoke in circles in a very condescending and patronizing manner until my mother in law finally gave up and left.
We followed up with the owner who brushed the issue off and expressed no concern for the issues we raised. Obviously this practice of up-selling, deceiving and manipulating clients is an acceptable business practice... As a local in the area I find it disheartening when small businesses care so little about the satisfaction of their customers.
Be careful buying any of their 'package deals'!
