Moody miserable service and our pasta was under cooked. The sauce was something out of the grocery store. I 'll never return
Mussels and pasta were delicious. Service was excellent. Great atmosphere. Love it here we we will be back!! Next time we will try some of their homemade desserts
I brought my friends and family to fanzorellis on saturday for our annual christmas party. This was our first time here it was recommded by a friend. We were given a great table by the fire place it was so nice and cozy in there. The server was great she let us order at our own pace and we did not feel rushed at all. The pasta was absolutely amazing you just tell they used fresh ingredients and it was made to order. My husband a couple other people had the chicken parmasean and it was delicious. I will definately come back here and recommnend it to friends this is the best italian restaurant in brampton I am happy we chose it to have our christmas party they definately made it a night to remember.
This was my first time dining at Fanzorelli's despite having resided in Brampton for the last two years. I in search of a venue to host my meeting on Sunday evening that was private enough so that we could discuss our agenda without having to worry about rowdy guests during the Grey Cup festivities. I'm glad I chose this location! Even before I stepped foot in the restaurant proper, I was treated courteously and promptly by restaurant staff to book the location and make a reservation. We arrived for 7:30 p.m. and were taken to our private dining area. The restaurant itself is very clean, warm and cozy. We had a great section to ourselves so that we could work on our agenda without disruptions. There was no loud music, but there were other guests around but did not cause any issue. The food was delicious! Everyone in our party was very pleased with what they ordered. I would definitely come back again (and order dessert this time!)
Great restauraant. My wide and I have dined there for many years. The food is always great as is the service. Fantastic atmosphere. Would definitely recommend. Cheers...
I have gone to 'Fanzos' for many years now, but with my recent visit, I'll never be going back there and definitely advise others to boycott! Went there after a long work week with family to be told by the owner/manager, Anthony,to keep my toddlers voice down, as my toddler was disrupting 'his other' customers, the 3 tables at that the time. Reading many of the reviews here now, I can see that he only cares for himself and not his clientele! I'll be sure to let family and friends know of this experience and find a different restaurant to go to that would welcome us and not be rude!
Another great night at Fanzorelli's! Have been frequently dining at Fanzorelli's for over a year now and the food, staff, and atmosphere are consistently great. Great place for a romantic night out or even casual enough for meeting up with friends for a drink. I love this place!
Although I titled this review "My disappointing night at Fanzorelli's" in reality, it was without question the most disappointing visit I ever made to any restaurant in my many years of dining out. Tonight after enjoying the Santa Claus parade in downtown Brampton, we made our way to Fanzorelli's restaurant as many others did to have a bite to eat. Without question the restaurant was not prepared for the influx of customers which all showed up around the same time, and as a somewhat frequent visitors to the restaurant, we expected some delays, which was fine with us. We ordered grilled calamari, steamed mussels and a Caesar salad. Once we received our order, it was apparent the grilled calamari and mussels were under-cooked and very slimy. We asked our waitress if she cook our order a little more and she kindly obliged. The order was brought back to us, and it was to our satisfaction. Here's where our experience took a very unexpected turn. The manager Anthony, approached us and informed us that in the future he doesn't want us to waste his time, his staff's time, or the restaurants money, and if we wanted our calamari and mussels cooked a little more, we should have informed our waitress that we wanted our order well done when we originally placed our order. Just to be clear, we have been to this restaurant on many occasions, and we have never had a problem with under-cooked food. Neededless to say we were flabbergasted with his approach, and after digesting his response. I called him over to express my surprise with his attitude, especially considering he has seen us in his restaurant many times before, and the first words out of his mouth was 'first off lower your voice". It was unbelievable! Needless to say I spoke with complete respect and a voice of normal volume. It was shocking! Never would I have expected as a customer which tips well to be treated this way, and it was very very insulting and disappointing. Truthfully, I have never posted a restaurant review, but after returning from the restaurant I felt I had to make my experience known to others. For a restaurant that provides mediocre at best menu choices, I would think that they would respect the customers that frequent their restaurant. It's one thing to be disappointed with the food you're served when dining out, but to be insulted by the manager is a whole different ball game. Stay away is my only advice, there is many better options in Brampton to spend your dining dollars. Side note: I won't be surprised if other reviews appear on this site tonight since throughout the evening we witness numerous customers coming up to the bar (where we dined since the restaurant was full) asking the bar staff when they could expect to have their drinks served, and one customer who was part of a table of over 20 diners was extremely irate, as he just couldn't understand how it could take over an hour just to have the drinks they ordered served to them. Truly disappointing!
Far and away the best value for Italian in Brampton. When the chef does a special, it's always a great dish. It was by far the best quail I'd ever had at a restaurant. We will continue to go back regularly!
I don't normally write reviews, however after the service we received today I thought it was important! We have been to this restaurant before and we liked it for the most part. However, today was a nightmare. From the start the waitress seemed stressed out and rushed when taking our orders. We waited forever to get our drinks and then to get our food. We would look around for her to ask for a refill on our drinks and she was no where to be found. Once we received our food, the orders were all messed up. The steak was not prepared to our satisfaction. Once we brought it to her attention she began cutting through it and saying that there was nothing wrong with it. Once we said we wanted another one, the Manager/Owner came over to us and said that the steak is Medium rare and to order Rare next time because now he has to waste a steak. Finally we get the steak back and it was even more cooked then before. At this point we are both very unhappy and just decide to just eat it. All of a sudden the waitress comes over and says that they made a mistake and instead of getting us a new steak, they just cooked that same one more!!! The Manager/Owner did not come over to us afterwards to ask if we needed anything or if the steak was cooked to our liking! Worst Restaurant Experience EVER! Will not be returning.
My wife & I tried this place out on the recommendation of friends who frequent it allot, and I'm glad we listened. The food was fantastic my wife and I both cook at home so we can appreciate fresh food and this was definitely fresh. They have a wood burning pizza oven which is hard to find, the pizza was just like we had in Florence. Another thing we liked was no children, we hate when we go out and have paid good money for a babysitter and end up next to someone else’s screaming child. The atmosphere was great too very rustic with a cool vibe. Thanks Fanzorelli's we will see you soon Ciao.
I usually never write reviews; but after the amazing meal and service our party received from the crew at Fanzorelli’s I had to be sure to tell everyone. People were raving about the food for days! The tiramisu is to die for!!! This was my first time planning a party there, and the staff was very helpful with every aspect. The venue was perfect, the food was fresh and delicious. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening.
My wife and I just moved into Brampton and in one of our ventures out we stumbled upon this gem and from the moment we walked in we new we were in the right place. The smell of basil and garlic was great, the décor was cool too very Italy like it reminded us of a place in Florence we visited. We have been back three times since and it has become our new local fav, the food is always fantastic “ try the osso buco awesome” and staff really care it seems about their customers they already know our names and what we like to drink, nice touch. We will definitely be frequent flyers to this restaurant.
I was horrified with the service I received yesterday and although I never write reviews, this case is definitely an exception. A good friend of mine accompanied me to this restaurant and I have never felt more disgusted and embarrassed for the carelessness and disregard with the customer service. Firstly we arrived and no one was at the front of the restaurant for at least 5 minutes to seat us and when the waitress finally came she looked my friend and i up and down and scoffed at us with an extremely curt "can I help you with something" Raised eyebrow included. We were seated in the dining room, and I must say that the one thing I did love about the place was that the interior decor is gorgeous. When the waitress came back she was extremely rude and we did not even stay for the food. We ordered one drink each and then left. I am surprised that the same waitress was being so much more courteous, even stating her name to other tables and being way more polite. Keeping in mind I am 23, and my friend is 24, we were not being loud. I felt disrespectfully insulted and will never be returning to this restaurant or recommending it to anyone but doing the opposite. Please hire new staff.
My partner and I had dinner here in the past, prior to attending a Rose Theatre event. It was extremely disappointing, and we vowed not to return. BUT 4 friends wished to dine in downtown Brampton, with a craving for Italian, and they insisted on Fanzorelli's. In other words, we were outvoted. The evening started off well, with attentive service on the patio. However, we elected to move indoors due to the weather. Again, as the restaurant only had a few tables, the service was expedient. Then the bottom fell out. The more the tables began filling up... the worse and worse the service. By the end of the night, our requests were completely forgotten/ignored. How can you serve pasta and not offer shaved cheese or freshly ground black pepper? We requested this (more than once) and to this day, I'm still waiting for the server to come back! Just terrible service. It gets worse - the food. Not a single member of the party enjoyed their entree. Comments ranged from "no flavour" to "I know what al dente is, but this is just plain undercooked pasta" and finally "did this tomato sauce come straight from the can?" But the most embarrassing is the seafood/pasta pescatore dish. The server walks through the entire restaurant bearing a gargantuan size bowl with a monster crab claw sticking out of it, turning every diner's head to where this huge serving is headed - perhaps they were expecting to see Shrek awaiting his dinner. There is literally enough pasta in this dish to feed a family of four. Being of Italian descent, I expect my pasta to be a side accompaniment on a main entree - not enough to literally feed an army! It actually quashed any appetite I might have had. The serving looked like it belonged in the dinner scene from Beetlejuice. Perhaps the chef might highlight the seafood in the dish, and allow this food to rest on a bed of pasta suitable for one person, served on a dinner plate? or SMALL bowl/platter? rather than making me the focus of attention of the whole room, subject (literally) to open mouthed gaping and comments/twittering of the other patrons? Bottom line = an overblown, garbled mess that turned me right off. Oh well.... Fanzorelli's initially started out as a location than only my husband and I vowed not to return to - however, the list has been expanded by 4 more patrons.
