John's Garden Center in Riverview, N.B .was started back in the fall of 1997, John and his wife Kim purchased property on the Hillsborough Road about 3 KM from the Gunningville Bridge. On site was a home and a building about 24' x 30' and just enough room to put up 2 greenhouses. As construction began in the fall on the 2 greenhouses, John decided to start a little earlier than planned by selling Christmas trees that winter. As spring rolled around John and Kim opened up for their first year. Very happy with the customer response during their first couple of years John and Kim decided to make plans to expand. With no more land on the site they currently had they decided to move down the road to 890 Hillsborough Road, this site was on the other side of the road and had more than enough room for a larger retail store plus more greenhouses.
