Situated in the heart of Corydon Little Italy and one of very few restaurants left on the strip that are under the same name or ownership, Saffron’s has become famous for the Patio, usually there is a waiting list on a hot summer night. The location alone is worth the wait to find a nice spot on the patio to enjoy a glass of Sangria and some appies or Dinner. We all had an appetizer and entree and we were very impressed! my wife bought a dealfind for this place and we loved it. we definatley will be going back
This was one of the worse meals I've ever had and I will never eat there again. The mussels had cream of celery soup dumped on them, the 'grilled' chicken was boiled and tasteless, and the entire salad was completely swimming in a horrible sauce. The waitress showed little concerned that I left my meal untouched and was not interested in trying to make my meal worthwhile. The only thing Saffron's has going for it is its location, otherwise I don't see how it would have any business.
The food is great , the selection is big especially for corydon and for a restaurant that big the food took a little long but if you order appetizers time passes and there calamari and saffrons mussels are to die for. The server we had was very pleasant and the drink service was pretty fast, unlike some other patios in the city where you ignored for half an hour before you are even greeted. The patio has a great view of the busy street I highy recommend..
While people rave about this restaurant, I believe it is more because of the drinks than the food. The chicken breast was half frozen and the rice did not have the fragrance of safron in it despite it being advertised as such. The only thing that would save the meal was the vegetables, which, by the way, were so oversteamed that they were extremely flabby and soft. Definately not a place to take someone, or to eat by yourself. The staff there also did not seem to care for the customers, except if they wanted drinks. No asking how the meal was, if anything could be better, or anything else. I paid for a half eaten meal and left, vowing never to return.

What can i say!!!! loved it. and cant wait to go back, ok waitresses could of looked a bit more happy & a bit of speed in service would of been nice from them, after all they want tipped, but the food was flavourful and fresh, patio was clean and plenty of room at the table, food was priced accordingly, The restaurant was packed, but we were not made to fell rushed at all, I would have no problem sharing this gem with others.
1am on a Wednesday: The waitress was shy or something, After the host found us a table 15 mins passed and no one even walked past us, it wasn't busy it was far form full capacity. I had to go to the host and she directed me to a waitress who in turn sent out for another person to get the manager and finally another guy came and took the orders, the service remarkably changed once all the staff know you want to order (is it too much to ask!). Service is lame, Location and Patio atmosphere is great, Price and Value are OK.

We sat out on the patio on a 35+ day. We all had an alcoholic beverage and a water because it was so hot out. Our food took over an hour and our waitress never came back once to apologize or refill our empty water glasses. Once we got our food, we had to ask a neighbouring table to borrow their ketchup because our server did not ask us if we needed anything else when she brought us our food.
I will never go back there again.
Extremely disappointed. The service was extremely slow, food was okay but over-priced for the value, the waiter was flippant, neglectful and we were later informed we couldn't use our coupon because we dined on the patio. When we complained about the service, the manager seemed totally disinterested. I guess customer service is not important when you're located on Corydon. We won't be going there again.
