Be aware of Express Appliance Repair (Winnipeg). A guy I described to be caucasian, in his late 40's to 50's, spoke with a russian or similar area accent, bald head, brown and gray color moustche, came to the house, took a look at the washer, misdiagnosed the problem, attempted to kill time by playing with his phone to increase his bill time. What should have been an $89 service call, turned to him trying to tell me i owe him $285+taxes. Don't be a victim.
AVOID. Charged more than quoted, then tech tried to sell a full panel replacement. When called on testing the oven incorrectly - a proper test was conducted revealing the issue to be a fuse.
We were then told part was discontinued, but they would try. After a month of no follow-up or returned calls, we located a replacement part and had in hand with three days. We installed ourselves. Company still charged without consent for part and a return call not required or conducted.
Feel scammed. Wish i read all the reviews first. This company lied several times on the phone to get there service call price. First there website says 59.99 or up for service call i got charged 90$ after tax.
Second I asked when I was booking what is the max price for the part as I gave them the exact model and part that wasent working on my washing machine. As I knew what it was and was told a max price. Tech arrives no parts and then gives me a price double the original max
Could not properly diagnose a dishwasher problem, paid over 300 bucks for nothing. I feel as if I have been ripped off.
they are now trying to charge me for parts that they say they replaced but did not fix the problem. they also damaged my appliance and will not own up to it.
Horrible company!! We needed our dishwasher repaired. The repair guy Mike came back a few times each time ordering new parts.the last part he ordered was a control board as he said theres an issue with it. He replaced a perfectly good board because it never fixed the issue. Same issue with the dishwasher stopping and now the minutes have increased.
He was there when it was inatalled Now they are wanting to charge us money for the control board and our dishwasher is still not fixed!!!
I called to have my washer machine fixed. The repairman came in 1 hour and was very nice and said it was fixed. After paying $300 the machine did not work and I called to tell them. I was told the manager would call me after his meeting that day. After a second call asking why he had not called after 4 hours wait time, I was told he will call. It has been 11 days and still no call from the manager. I was forced to stop payment on the cheque and purchase a new washer. I feel scammed!
