Baked Expectations welcomes you to their restaurant. They are open late all week. You can get there not only by car but also by public transit. The surrounding location is remarkable for its merchants and parks. Payments by gift certificates are recognized.
Full cake on their website is 60$ .... this was given to us as 4 pieces .... which is nearly not even half the size of the actual cake and had to pay 40$ ... the price and pieces given are abosolutly rediculous! The owner came to talk to us when we asked for her and she said half the cake is worth 7 pieces (last I checked a cake was either 8 or 12 pieces making half of a 12 .... 6!
I visited Baked Expectations briefly this past Canada Day as a spot to enjoy some dessert and soak in the festive atmosphere in Osborne Village, as the street had been closed off and was packed with people and vendors. I enjoyed a slice of hazelnut meringue torte, which somehow managed to be sinfully delicious but not too heavy for the hot and humid evening. The servers had no problems with me picking a small table on the patio, enjoying my dessert, and alternating between reading and people-watching. A lovely experience, overall... the only criticism would be that I had a hard time choosing between all the delicious-looking dessert options! I'll definitely be back.
Great light menu topped off with your selection of fabulous desserts is a great way to top off an afternoon of shopping and hitting up the great coffee shops and lounges on Osborne!!
