I had a cracked windshield. After they replaced it the rain sensor didn't work. I took it back and left it for the day and they fiddled with the sensor pad and said it was ok. So after 3 visits to FRG and 3 days without a car I learn they installed the wrong windshield and are reluctant to admit it. Don't take your car there!!!!
I ordered a glass for my coffee table and they had cut it the WRONG size. I ordered 36.5 inches but it was cut to 38 inches therefore being too BIG! I live about 40min away so bringing the glass home was quite difficult trying to make sure I did not break, scratch or crack the glass in my car. I requested that they come pick it up and cut it and bring it back since they are LOCAL and have trucks but the lady said it would cost 90$. I expected BETTER customer service as it was NOT my mistake.
The service here is excellent. They really take great care of you and the products are top notch. Always a pleasure doing business with Fort Rouge Glass.

I totally disagree with the two reviews of this company. I have had a great experience with FRG, and I recommend everyone to go there. One thing about these type of reviews you only hear one side of the story. I take what these people say with a grain of salt. I've used Fort Rouge Glass for many many years, and have enjoyed my experience everytime, and will continue to use them. Theservice and and installers are number one in Winnipeg as far as I'm concered and I've used a lot of other companies before using FRG and I've been dealing with them for many years since.
I called them and asked them to come measure my shower for a door. I asked for the glass door plus installation. After coming down for the measurement, a couple days later I received a quote. The quote included a great price for the glass, but a high installation cost. I called them and said I would like to order the glass door, however, I would do the install myself. At this time I was told if I installed it myself, they do not guarantee the glass will be the right size. I asked, is this not why you came to measure, since you are a custom glass company, should the glass not fit then? I mean, they are in the business of custom fitted glass. He was adamant that if they don't install it, there is no gaurantee of it being the right size. After probing further, the salesman admitted to me that the priced the glass low on the quote and inflated the install price to make it appear the glass was a good price, and that by just selling the glass, they wouldn't make as much profit. In my world, this is a pretty shady business practice, so I took my business elsewhere, and funny thing, every other glass company warrants the size of their custom glass!!!
While I am sure the quality of their work may be excellent, the quality of their customer service needs significant improvement. I showed up in person to order some glass for my office space (made to measure) and also requested an appointment for someone to come out and do an on-site measure/estimate. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. After a week and a half of not hearing back on the appointment, I called. There was no record of my order and after a few minutes of confusion, I got an appointment confirmed for a specific time later that same week. The appointment time comes and goes, nobody shows up. I call 15 minutes after the agreed upon time and receive the explanation that "when we book for a time, its just approximate...they'll be there around that time". How about those bits of glass I ordered two weeks ago? Still no record of the order two weeks later. So here I sit, (1 hour after the supposed appointment) waiting for a business who feels that their time is more valuable than that of their customers. I get a call after an hour asking if they could come sometime in the afternoon. No thanks, I'll use my time to write this review.
