Was quoted $200 plus tax, but after the tow truck arrived at the final destination, that driver sprung a hidden fuel surcharge on the bill pushing the bill up from $224 after tax, to $248 after tax. I called to complain about about being mislead but they should not honour the quoted price. I’m not impressed with the hidden charges and dishonest business practice...I would not use them again!
The employees that I met at Unitow (Surrey) were extremely rude. When I came to pick up my car and asked an employee (who was in his 30s) that if he knew a auto insurance near by, shockingly, he didn't even made eyes contact and walked away although I was standing right in front of them. The lady who worked at the reception desk was also really unfriendly and that made me felt seriously uncomfortable.
After calling five tow truck companies during rush hour unitow was the number one truck that came and responded to me after my suv broke down on the side of the east-west connector between Richmond New west. They told me they would be there with one 15 mins and held true to their word. Ed the tow truck driver was courteous prompt and offered me a newspaper to read in his truck and made sure that I was warm while he took diligent care loading up my SUV and every step along the way he made sure that I was safe from the rush-hour fast moving tricks as well as telling me his trip plan throughout the way to my mechanic shop. Remember folks, tip your driver! They work very hard for their pay.
When my car broke down on the highway I called this company. Despite it being quite late in the evening, they sent a nice man out quite promptly to load my car and myself up and take me to they shop. The price and service was just right, and I enjoyed the humour of the driver along the way. I would recommend this company.
