Introduced last year, Fonda Lola’s brunch is a must try for anyone who loves Mexican cuisine. The menu includes items like tacos filled with egg whites, bacon, crema and salsa roja, spicy eggs benny and tequila-infused granola, yes you read that right. Fonda Lola does not take reservations (sob).

El Catrin Destileria

A little bit of Mexico in the Distillery District, El Catrin offers its Mexican brunch weekends and holidays until 3 p.m. The menu includes French toast Mexican style, with mango, whipped ancho chilie mascarpone and salsa roja. Sweet stuff includes churros and panqueques - Mezcal maple syrup, whipped cream and fresh fruit. Reservations are available.

El Trompo

Margarita slushies are on the brunch menu at El Trompo. The Kensington Market eatery has a small brunch menu, but it packs a punch. From huevos rancheros to tacos al pastor, all the favourites are there. El Trompo does not take reservations.
