Meet the owner

Poutine Centrale is the brainchild of Louis Bourgeois, his wife, and their two business partners. Louis, who has a number of restaurants to his credit, was charmed by the concept his business partners proposed and decided to join them in the adventure of opening another. That's how Poutine Centrale was born on March 28th, 2013 in the Hochelaga neighbourhood. About six months later, on September 18th, 2013, Louis' wife opened her own location in the Little Italy neighbourhood.

Louis and his partners, who have nearly 45 years of restaurant experience combined, wanted to create something different. Poutine is a typical Quebecois dish that continues to gain more and more followers worldwide. The idea behind Poutine Centrale is to adapt poutine to today's tastes and to innovate in this direction. The concept works so well that people come from all corners of the city and beyond to sample the restaurant's delicious creations. It is not uncommon for tourists to go out of their way to try the poutine at Poutine Centrale.

The business was taken by surprise during the last "Poutine Week." As it was their first time participating in the event, Louis and his wife were not sure what to expect. They were in for a surprise! During the seven days of the event, people from around the world lined up outside the restaurant to try their poutine recipes.
