I was invited to attend a business dinner at this restaurant following a seminar that I went to prior a few years ago. I almost didn't go, but I'm glad that I did.....the best $40 dollars I spent in one place besides shoes on sale....lol I was very impressed with the setting, it's very intimate and cozy, a little bit congested if more than 9 people at one table, but it can work out... The staff was very professional, but very nice and not pushy. The service was A++. The food is also A++. I had the blackend chicken and the coconut shrimp, and I tell you, I had to find the recipes online.... reminds me of jerk chicken... (jamaican background) It took me a month to find this restaurant again, and I'm glad I did. A very nice restaurant to go to for a special occasion or a first date. I recommend this restaurant Highly. A diamond in the ruff.
Weird location, GREAT FOOD! In a strip mall in Etobicoke, this small Family run resturant provides great food and service at an affordable price. A true hidden gem!
My friend braught me to this place, he has been here many times and has always enjoyed it. I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys spices and flavours in their food. All our dishes were cooked to perfection ( seafood & steaks). Nothing too overwhelming. Everything tender and tasty. I ordered the fishermens platter which included grupper fish, calamari and my fav part coconut beer shrimp. The seafood had their own individual sauces that popped with flavor. Calamari was cooked properly. for my appetizer I had the gumbo ya ya soup, very tasty and good for a cold winter day. The service, was great. Polite, attententive, and personable. The atmosphere was small and warm, very nice and comfortable. I will definetly return my business here. The food is well worth the money. Great quality.
While the restaurant enjoys a very odd location and modest surroundings, the food and service is unbeatable. I have dined there on numerous occasions and remains the place to go for a special dinner out. The beef tenderloin is fantastic as is their salmon. They make the best ceaser salad I've ever tasted (it's almost spicy!) Overall, a fantastic, reasonably priced restaurant with unparalleled service.. Your bread basket will always be full, as well as your wine glass! Enjoy!
This has been the most delightful two hour dinner out in recent memory. This place has a humble appearance but the cuisine is very high end and the price realistic with no surprises. Our compliments to the chef.
Excellent! A true find for anyone looking for great food and exceptional service.
Great for the family or if your trying to entertain. Mike, you and your wife have done an Amazing job. Keep it up. Thanks for always taking care of me and my friends/family. I'll c u soon.
The last time I went to this restaurant was for my birthday, prior to that I have been several times. I must say the food is outstanding and flavourful. The service is excellent and everthing arrives in a timely fashion. Its a very intimate and comfortable setting and their calamari is the best I have had at any restaurant that I have ever been too! Period. Just the best.
We choose New Orleans for business and pleasure dining for our special friends and family. The food is outstanding. It has a great menu that will satisfy everyone in your party and the service is amazing. We always seem to close the place. Cheers
This is a relatively small, warm, cozy and friendly restaurant. The small size allowed our party of four to talk comfortably even when the restaurant was 75% full. While the décor is modest and does not stand out in any way. Much more can be said about the service and the quality of the meal. The owner is very active and attends to the needs of his customers. The food was flavourful and of good value for the money. If you enjoy Cajun seafood and don’t want to take out a second mortgage this would be the place to be. Our waitress was pleasant and did not rush us nor did she attempt to push into purchasing more items with “suggestion sellsâ€. The wine list was comprehensive for a restaurant of this size and although only one person elected to have wine on this evening it was nice to have a choice. A good choice for a quiet meal, family celebration or a nice “second dateâ€!

Founded in 2005, this sleek restaurant tries to capture the essence of New Orleans. Appetizers include the New Orleans gumbo Yaya (dark roux soup with chicken, sausage and rice) and the coconut beer Shrimp, served with a marmalade sauce. This chic location in Smythe Park also offers an impressive wine list and spirits selection.
