Just came in from the Gryphon and once again had a a nice cold beer and some good wings.
The staff is always friendly and the wings were fine. We will be back and you can likley see us there on a sunday night
The Gryphon has an ambience like no other Pub in Whitby, warm and inviting. The appetizers we very tasty, and the entertainer on Friday nights; Dan Evans; great to listen to. As a group, we have visited before, and always look forward to going back!! One in our group is in a wheelchair, and he has very easy access to everything!!

It is a nice place (very clean), good atmospher and awesome dusted suicide wings. I ordered the Pint & Pound deal and my friends ordered Ribs & Wings combo. Over all the food was excellent and reasonable size.
The Gryphon Pub of Whitby is a fantastic place with great atmosphere. Friendly Staff, Excellent Food. They had a live band and it was really good. For sure I will revisit the place again.

The food was pretty good. Nothing over the top. I was a little put aback by the language that was being thrown around. I was the only woman in the place (which isn't a problem) but I think that out of consideration for their customer that the wait staff should have asked the customers that were using such vulgar launguage to keep it quiet. They were obviously regulars which is not a problem but a little consideration goes a long way.
The Gryphon is a fantastic place to eat during the week, but avoid late evenings if you're looking for a meal as it tends to cater to a younger drinking crowd.

Great atmosphere once again. We ordered nachos to start and were going to split the grilled chicken sandwich but it never arrived. I think the waitress just forgot to order it as it was busy and she was the only one there.
We weren't too worried about not getting it because we were full on the nachos.
However if we were really hungry it would have been dissapointing.

It is quite small. Intimate setting.
Seemed like a lot of regulars were there.
Food was good and waitress was very friendly.
My only complaint was the small menu. It just didn't seem to have a huge selection.
But I will go back again.
Horrible service, never asked for re-fills. Hamburger was most likely a re-heated one from the day before (extremely dry and luke warm). Dirty utensils (biggest turn off).
