Always loved their wings!
Meh. Generic food. Not bad, but not great either. Fries taste like the frozen type you buy at the grocery shop. Boring, typical sports bar menu stuff. Service is fine and location is fine. Again--MEH.
I love these previous 5 star all the way across reviews which are very transparant plants by the owner. I have been to many chains that due food well, but 5's all the way across? Never. Anyway onto this place. Showed up with a large party of 8. Told them we would be 10 in total but we ended up with 2 no shows. After a 1/2 hour the server asked where the other 2 people were. We said we didn't know and maybe they weren't showing up. You would have think we sacraficed a dog on the table the way she reacted. She litterally threw a hissy fit SCREAMING at us that we used up two of their precious chairs for nothing. The restaurant was 1/2 full at best. The manager came over and told us if we ever did that again they would refuse to seat us. Now for the food, St. Louis Bar and Grill serves possibly the smallest wings you will ever find. They are smaller than the average woman's thumb AND they have the audacity to charge $21 for 18 wings. These wings are purchased from Sysco (not to trash Sysco - they are a fine provider, but there are different levels of quality depending on what the chain pays for) in microwave bags and are heated up and thrown into a basket. What is unbelievable is that a chain that PRIDES ITSELF ON WINGS hands you a couple of hot sauce packets, yes packets, to spread on your wings. This would be substandard for any restaurant but it is the modus operandi at Stl. Louis. A serving of fries that you could fit in a juice glass was $9. The server continued to be erratic throughout our stay. She did not get one, and I mean ONE drink order right. We kept sending them back until the Manager came over and accused us of lying and jerking the server around. We then argued and he agreed to take our drink order. He wrote it down and still got two of the drinks wrong. All and all it was entertaining as we just kept laughing at how ineptly the restaurant was run. Given their prices and the local economy I don't give this location or the chain in general to the end of this year before it folds its tent. It won't be missed.
been to a few different st. louis' in toronto and this is by far the best of them all. Wings/ribs were great. staff was really friendly, best service i have had in a long time. and food was really good. wings were juicy and big, ribs as always were great. if you are going out for wings, this is the place to go.
