My mom and I went to Pantheon Greek restaurant on Saturday, September 9th, 2017. We were hugely disappointed. We both ordered moussaka and got mildly warm moussaka, almost cold. We expected it to be hot. We both eat only one third of the meal b/c it wasn’t tasty and something didn’t feel right. When we came home we had digestive problems, pain, upset stomach and diarrhea for three days. I suspect that moussaka with ground meet was stale. I would never return to Pantheon restaurant
Based on other online reviews, the Pantheon is arguably the best Greek restaurant in Greek Town, Toronto. We made reservations ahead of time, had the much reviewed and loved Saganaki, which they light up at your table and the chicken souvlaki; the large and small portions. The chicken was ridiculously good, the potatoes were incredible and the rice was fantastic. With two greek beers and a red wine, our bill totaled $65. It was a good experience, we will return again.
My wife and I have been going back to this place for years now. I think it's the best Greek restaurant on the Danforth. We usually start off with the calamari and have the chicken breast along with the lamb souvlaki dinner. I'm not one to go and order chicken breast at a restaurant since it's easy to make at home, but this place makes it incredibly juicy and succulent. I never have to ask for water, and if you go on the weekdays, they typically give you free dips as an appetizer and you get a free piece of cake for dessert as well.
The best Greek food on the Danforth. The staff are really good and very friendly, especially Bobby. Sometimes you will actually see the owner wait on tables, a super nice guy. The best pork souvalaki in the world (yes, I've been to Greece).
This is one of the few authentic Greek restaurants that this city has to offer. I've been to many in this town & this is defenetly up there. Their meet dishes are superb. I personally like there lamb chops & lamb souvlaki. There seafood dishes are not very good. I personally don't like fish very much my wife who loves seafood was quite dissapointed. Their price is average for what you get & I had mixed feelings about the service. Although I had no major issues with the service, it just seemed like all the servers there were mad at asomething. Nobody cracked a smile & our server looked like was just about to go for a root canal.
One of my fav spot in Greektown; big portions!
This place use to be really good about 7-8 years ago. Since then the food got worse, they used to have the most amazing Greek salad, and now it's just some lettuce with a bit of feta cheese, no olives, no red onions. The ambiance is bad now; no music and now they serve the food on PLASTIC plates!!!!!! Are you joking me? This place is not that cheap! Terrible service. Don't go there, they need to learn to appreciate their costumers again!
We have been travelling from Burlington about once a month for the pst 3 years to eat here - it is that good! Even brought Greek friends who pronunced it great - so much better that the pseudo-Greek joints you see all over the place. John T and Steve add to the experience. Tell them it's your birthday just to hear Yannis sing.
Best Greek Place in Town This place is absolutely amazing! Everyone is so loving and friendly! I am not of Greek heritage but I feel at home with these people. The food is amazing anf you get a lot for what you pay for.. well worth it! YOU MUST TRY THIS PLACE OUT!
This was my second or possibly third visit. I love this place. Being a non Greek at times I have a hard time ordering and knowing what I would like. The staff there were very friendly and beyond helpful with what to order. Everything they recommended was unbelievable, of course anything that was leftover was taken home to enjoy later. My friends and I would all go back. Honestly I believe it is the only "Greek" restaurant on the Danforth, many of other so called Greek restaurants are not so appetizing - just fast food! Love it!
This was our first visit , we, my wife and I, took our three older children and in-laws, we found the food pricey compared to some other Greek restaurants, but you get what you pay for, the food was delicious, the service was exceptional, waiters were friendly we truly enjoyed our evening and we definitely return.
Wanted to go to a good Greek restaurant on the Danforth. So, based on reviews took a chance on Pantheon. Disappointment. The grilled calamari were good, but nothing outstanding. The Orange Roughy was basically salty fish drizzled with olive oil. The Greek salad that came with the meal was truly laughable, it was nothing more than badly tornn iceberg lettuce with crumbled feta. It was truly awful. Don't understand the rave reviews...anyway each to his own.
have been here a few times now and found it is the best greek on the danforth by far in terms of service as well as food, highly reccommend
I've been here a couple of times and the food was amazing, by far the best Greek food I've ever had on the Danforth. The meat is very tender and all the other sides very flavorful as well. The atmosphere is very nice and friendly. It is a bit pricier than many of the other restaurants in the area but you get what you pay for. Definitely worth a visit.
We often frequent this restaurant and have never been disapointed. The seafood platter is the best seafood i have ever had. We also take the time to enjoy the sponge cake which is equally as good
We frequent this for the seafood which is excellent and always fresh. It can be a little frenetic on a Friday night but we come back often.

With wines imported straight from Greece and hand-painted frescoes on the wall, it might be hard to remember that you’re actually in Toronto. The authentic Greek menu and atmosphere makes this spot one of the more popular options on the Danforth for date night. Try the Fishkebob Souvlaki!
View this Smart ListIf you’re looking for authentic Greek cuisine, look no further than Pantheon. They’ll be offering their full menu in the restaurant during the festival, including fresh fish and salty canned sardines from Greece, stuffed wine leaves and many other specialties from back home. You might not be back in Greece, but you’ll feel like it, at least for a little while.
