Amazing!!

First and foremost, service here is outstanding!! Ordered 2 specials - beef tenderloin and Jumbo Prawn linguine - both exceptional. Presentation was A+. Expensive but worth it!!

Take a Pass

At this small italian restaurant, regulars are treated royally and newcomers with disdain. Save your money!!!

The olive oil that came with the bread was a very high grade. The butter that I asked for was soft and creamy. Loved the rosemary flatbread. I've never had anything so full of citrus flavour but not a single hint of bitterness. The spinach was perfectly cooked and a beautiful hue of green. The risotto was cooked just right. The black cod was cooked spot on and the asparagus trimmed so there was no toughness left. Tiramisu was a strong shot of coffee liqueur with fluffy marscapone. A crispy sugar layer topped the smooth and creamy creme brulee. Dinner was fabulous. I wished they had offered us a chance to order some grappa, which they had loads of, but I guess that was due to the fact that we did not order any wine.

All of the food was absolutely delicious. The Noce salad with walnuts was great, butternut squash soup warmed me to the toes. My husband loved the buffalo entree, for a change of pace. My potato gnocci was heaven on earth. The main dining room is a bit cramped, but has a cosy and lovely atmosphere. Service was fabulous and food outstanding. We would definitely come back. The only caveat is that the cheapest bottle of wine is $48, so that's a pricy markup. Otherwise great.

Went with 2 of my girlfriends during Summerlicious and had the best experience here. The owner of the restaurant greeted us upon entering, and showed us to our table. Our waiter (as well as the other waiters working that nite) were quite attentive. My girlfriends and I couldnt stop raving about the food. Overall, had an excellent dining experience here. Will definitely come back for a regular sitting!

Toronto's West Queen West eateries you don't want to miss

At this fine Italian restaurant, quality authentic food ranks high. There's no such thing as a bad meal here – only great and greater. Start with an appetizer, such as Pesciolini Fritti (fried smelts) or Olive Ascolane (meat-stuffed fried olives) before working your way onto a main course, such as Ravioli ai Funghi (mushroom-stuffed ravioli with parmesan cheese and white truffle butter). Be sure to save room for dessert – options include sweets, cheeses and biscotti.
