Stepping through the doors of Nadia Chocolates feels akin to stepping into a museum – one with an intoxicating, mouth-watering aroma. The chocolate sculptures that fill the display case of Nadia Chocolates look almost too good to eat.
Owner Ionela Cristea opened Nadia Chocolates in November of 2014. Already, her shop has become the talk of the Baby Point community. Ionela came up with the idea while attending a pastry show. The artful sculptures seemed a perfect way to bring a new exciting presentation to already popular Belgian chocolate.
Ionela is not a chocolatier by trade. The Romanian immigrant worked as a medical technologist for several years, but decided it was time for a change in her career. “I always loved chocolate and I love beautiful things,” she says of her decision to open a chocolate shop specializing in chocolate sculptures.
