I'm not sure where these other reviews are coming from. I've been eating at Chung Moi for over 10 years now, and keep coming back because it's consistently good. It's easily my favourite restaurant in the neighbourhood, and one of the best Hakka places in the city. Great value and great food. I'll agree that the decor isn't anything to write home about, but it's not trying to be any kind of high end place. Definitely try the chilli chicken and beef chili fried rice!
I went with take-out order, so I really can't comment on the server's actions, but yeah, definitely hostile owner.
Dismal decor, perfunctory service, dirty restrooms, substandard cuisine with a few rather outstanding dishes. Waitresses cannot even be bothered to put each persons order or drinks near them-instead setting everything at the end of the table as it's more convenient for them. Do not complain to the Owner/Manager about anything as she is not familiar with the benefits of good customer service and has a blasé attitude. The other reviewers are correct that the staff is very unfriendly, have no customer service skills and are rude, hissing teeth, rolling eyes, 'poor English skills, and the owner (Theresa) is really rude and doesn't care about customer service. The washrooms are not clean and the restaurant looks very very ghetto-the worst I've seen. The largest table in the house has what appears to be a huge white garbage or garment bag cut open and loosely thrown on -masquerading as a tablecloth. (Embarrassing) Although a patient person, I am fed up and doubt I will return.

poor service...server plunked down 7 glasses of water in 1 spot instead of beside each seat. servers did not comprehend the bar orders, we had to get up and go to the bar to order our drinks. fried rice chicken and shrimp looked very unappetizing and tasted bland. overall not a pleasant experience.
Service lady need to improve on customer hospitality. Else everything is very good.

I love this restaurant. The owner is awesome and the chilli chicken is amazing. I have been coming there for quite a few years now and i cant get enuf!!
Great food. The people (waiteress) are very prompt and friendly. Good and highly recommended place for Indian Chineese food. Quality is good and so is the quantity. I usually take my wife there on weekday evenings atleast twice or trice a month and the food is just good.... Am planning another trip there in the next fortnight with my friends.
Chung Moi is excellent. The service is always prompt and courteous. the owner is friendly and always takes time to say hello. And the food...oh, the food is superb! I'v recommended this restaurant to many people.
My experience was terrible. I found a hair that was cooked in the chilli shrimp and when I brought this to the waitress attention she did nothing about it. I then asked to speak to the owner and she was pretty rude about and it was not a concern for her. I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT GO HERE AGAIN
