Usually Niagara Falls restaurants and hotels takes advantage of tourism with their prices but one place AlMac,s buffet was great affordable and tasty especially the server name Carmela was amazing and made our day, thank you so much.
My experience there was awful I should of walked out when they told me that you cannot have free tap water. This is against the law because they serve liquor. But I decided to stay all the food I ate was dried out and I gagged on because I had no water to drink it down with. As for their beverage prices they charge 2.99 for a bottle of water and even told me I couldn't drink my own water. I believe the only reason this restaurant is staying open is because tourist don't realize how bad the food
DISGUSTING, DIRTY, ideal place for diseases, GOT DIARRHEA FOR 3 DAYS... ALLMACS this place is not what you used to be, went there last weekend, and to be honest I don't know where to start, the plates were all scratched and dirty, there was this female waitress with a black shirt full of dandruff all over her shoulders, most dont have the proper presentation or skills to serve, the floor was so sticky almost lost my shoes, and to finalize our evening my wife found a pubic hair on her plate.

Bad experience should have left when i was told the 3 kids who were with me that one ofthem who was 11 years old would pay adult price i asked why the hostess? Replied they have to compensate bad start should have known better not sure why i stayed did no agree with that explanation then the buffet ???? My experience was absolutely horrible. We sat down and the server asked for our drink order. I ordered a coffee and a water. The server told me that she was not authorized to give me tap water because her boss only wanted patrons to purchase bottled water. There was no option to order from a menu and the food looked terrible. I decided to leave to go somewhere else and they charged me $6.75 for the two coffees that my girlfriend and I did not even drink. Boycott this place at all costs.
Entering this seemigly promising place, we were greeted by the most miserable unkept rude staff ive ever seen in a restaurant. I ask the lady for a booth seat, she says no!! Tell her i have metal rods in my back and need the comfort of a booth seat. Shaking her head with a discusting look on her face she throws her hands in the air and says ill get the manager. The 3 of us take a booth seat anyway. The food was so bland and tasteless.. It was just like jail food!! No joke!! RESTAFF THIS PLACE!!

went for breakfast, about 7$ all you can eat, scrambled eggs and sausages, potatoes and some... drinks including water aren't free so careful.... Very honest for the price but keep your expectations on the low side of you don't want to be disappointed.

The food is horrible so bad that I was grateful to chew a piece of gum after the meal was done just to get the taste out of my mouth. Rock hard pancakes, scaly French toast. And to top it all off they charge $3 for water!
I would rather go hungry than ever eat here again.
4 Adults and a 3 year old. Had the Dinner Buffet . I am almost 64 years old and this was undoubtedly the worst buffet I have ever had. Hard wings, beef that was so tough you could not cut it, outragious priced soft drinks, nothing fresh or tasty . This meal almost ruined a perfect trip to the Falls. These people should NOT be in the restaurant business. The staff was Ok and almost seemed apologetic .. like they knew!
Me and my girlfriend were going out for dinner and decided to stop in and eat here after seeing from their sign that they "had" over 40 buffet options we decided they had something for both of us and went to give it a shot. We walked in and the place was dead, we were seated right away and were asked for drinks. We didn't order them right away as we wanted to check out the food first, thank god we did. So the presentation of the food is dreadful, you can't even see what you're getting until you lift the big heavy metal lid(which I burnt my hand on) and once you see the food it becomes obvious why the lids are used. The pizza looked like it was there for a few hours, the potatoes looked the same and the chicken wings looked more like pigeon wings with the size and amount of meat. There was also about 5 things out instead of the advertised 40. We left as soon as we made a loop around the table
when I can't get a glass of water in this country in a restaurant I am not too impressed. They force you to buy a bottle of water as this is their "policy" as I was advised by the owner. We did not buy any water and they charge more than average for your coffee/tea as these items are not included with the buffet..NEVER going back. When I brought the water issue with the owner ( assumption) a Greek man all he would say it's our policy, no apologies -no empathy.
Awful Service, Stale Food, Don't Waste Your Money!
I made the mistake of going here twice. The first time for the dinner buffet. The food was all bland. Very very bland. Like they forgot to season the food or put any salt and pepper on it even. The waitress was nice, that was good.
The second (and last time) I went was for breakfast. I thought their breakfast would be better, because who can't cook eggs, bacon and pancakes...well I was wrong! The pancakes were hard. Yes hard! I could knock on the table with them! I thought maybe it was because they were sitting there for a while, so I waited for a new batch to be brought out and it was the same thing! Half the pancake was soft, the other half you could knock on the table with it!! The waffles and bacon were good. The eggs were ok and the rest was plain. The waitress tried rushing us out, even though there were plenty of available tables and we weren't there even 1/2 hour! We requested 2 bills, because we were two groups together paying different ways. The waitress was annoyed and told us to go to the cashier and he would do it. Well after we were again rushed out, we asked the cashier and he told us, very rudely, that we should have asked the waitress. We told him we did. He told us to go to her and tell her to. By that time, people were lining up to pay. And I told him that he needed to do it, we can't chase the waitress down. He said to step aside so he could cash out the other customers. What?? We were there first!! Finally, I asked him if he wanted us to pay for our meal or not. Then he split the bill. Guess how long it took him to do that? Less than a minute. So what was the big deal?! I told him that it was an awful experience and we will not be back. He said: "That's fine" and then turned his back to us. We left and I am right here letting others know of the poor service and food.
Never again will we go to Al Mac's.
Some things to consider before you think of going:
They will not even give a child a glass of water. They want you to pay $4 each for water, even though we ordered drinks too! The coffee my mother had was not fresh! She said it was awful and very bitter like it was in the pot for hours.
The food is not tasty.
This restaurant was horrible! First of all, my boyfriend and I were seated outside and the whole outside was covered in bees. We sat there for over 15 minutes before anyone decided to take our drink order. We requested to be seated inside because of the bees, and it took another 10 minutes after that for the waitress to take our drink order. It was very busy so we were pretty forgiving of the fact that it took so long for the waitress to ackowledge us. But our waitress was snotty and treated us like we were an annoyance. We ordered two Ice teas (which were around $4 each) and two glasses of water. The waitress then tells us that THEY DONT HAVE TAP WATER. Seriously??? What restaurant doesnt bring you water? It's not like we were only asking for water either. We had ordered other drinks, and we didnt want to spend another $8 on water. The food wasnt that great, but we werent really expecting greatness for the amount we were paying. I do however, expect fast and friendly service no matter how much I am paying, and we didnt get either. I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy.
