Mango Rain is a cozy little restaurant run by a hard working young couple. It is a small restaurant located on 1714 Lakeshore Road West, Mississauga, ON (on a strip mall, south side of Lakeshore). They specialize in authentic Indian and Thai fusion cuisine. Everything is cooked fresh as you order it. They have a small, but good variety of dishes from butter chicken, lamb, vegetarian plates and fantastic naan. Their prices range from $9 (lunch plates) to $16 (dinner plates). They even offer a take-out menu for your convenience. For desserts, they have home-made mango ice cream, topped with cashew nuts that is a must try. You are always greeted with a warm smile in a friendly atmosphere. So if you are looking for a quiet, quaint environment with good quality food and value for your money, give this place a try. I give this restaurant the thumbs up and you are sure to enjoy it too.
Getting there is easy, parking lot has lots of room. The decor is updated, the washrooms were VERY clean. The restaurant was about 30% full and our server was able to get to us immediately. We were given adequate time to look over the menu, our drinks arrived quickly, food arrived shortly after, overall the service couldn't have been better given the single server. The soup was by far the freshest and flavourful I've ever had. As for the mains, the flavour was intense (as we had hoped), ingredients were fresh, and although unexpected, presentation was pleasing. Portion size is appropriate to the cost, we doggy bagged the extras for a delightful lunch treat and the temperature of all the food served was spot on. Other patrons all left happy as well and there is a very warm inviting feeling to the resto. I hope they stick around for years to come.
Great Pad Thai!! We have tried Pad Thai in many places but this one hands down. The nan bread is also a great additon to any meal.
