Dave Fisher, the man behind Fisher Field, has been involved in the automotive industry since 1966 - nearly his whole life. He is licensed to work on all vehicles, though tends to focus primarily on cars, trucks and motorcycles. Dave, a pilot, is also trained in air-cooled and marine engine repair, as well as in the service of alternatively fueled and classic vehicles.
With years of professional experience, Dave is known within the industry as a steering and brakes specialist. In addition to automotive maintenance and repair, he performs vehicle value appraisals year-round for insurance companies and private parties, and has been focusing more and more in recent years on a real creative passion -- classic car restoration.
Fisher Field, formerly known as Burbank International Airport, took nearly half a century to come to fruition at the hands of its original owners, Charlie & Katherine Burbank. The 1870's country home was redesigned and lovingly rebuilt for modern living, and out-buildings were added over time as necessary.
Once 100 acres of Ontario farmland, much of the property was forested as part of a government initiative in the mid-1970's. Now, in addition to a fully-lit grass runway, two hangars, a spring-fed pond and miles of trails, Fisher Field is home to the Burbank Gun Club and often serves as a base camp for the local air cadets.
The diversity of amenities here guarantees that we can offer you and your vehicle -- land or air -- a quality service experience.more...See more text
