My friend and I decided to bring our children to this restaurant to have something to eat. Upon walking in to the restaurant we saw the sign that read “please wait to be seated”. So that’s what we did, we waited and waited. Not one employee had come up to us to bring us to a table. So after seating ourselves we had to chase down a waiter to help us. And then after waiting an hour for our food the sever comes up to us and told us he forgot to put our order in. So we left with hungry children.

We have gone to My Place since it first opened. At first it was really good, as the other review says (which was over a year ago) The last time in I was not impressed with the food or service, but that could have been a fluke so we tried it again. My daughter (8 yrs old) ordered penne from the kids menu, my husband fish and chips and I had a chicken panini and fries. It took over 50 minutes to get our food. We were told at about 30 minutes that it was being plated, but it took another 20 minutes after that. When we did get it, I looked at my daughters order, about 15 penne noodles (at $6.50 for the dinner!!!) and that was it, and said to the waiter, that's a really small portion, he said well that's what she gets. My husband ate a fry and said wow that's hot, I ate one of mine, it was cold and soggy. The bread of my panini was also soggy, and it was luke warm, like it had been sitting a while. My husband cut into his fish and took a bite and spit it out, it was raw inside. We tried to flag down the waiter but was told twice I will be there in a minute. I ended up giving him the other half of my sandwich, cause soggy was better than raw. When we told the waiter, he took the plate away. I said wait, leave the fries at least they are hot mine are cold, he took it anyways, he said no I have to give them to the kitchen. My daughter ate the small portion of penne and said I'm still hungry and the three of us ended our dinner with what was left of my soggy fries. Because it was so long getting the order we were late to the hockey game we had tickets to. We all left hungry and very disappointed. Worst meal ever, poor service and a bad experience. I think the most disappointing part was that this used to be a good place to go to, but the quality went down hill.
This restaurant blew me away the service is great ... The updated are so modern. Food preparation is amazing ! I like how they give you the option of 12 grain bread and not just brown. I have never had a Caesar salad soooo good in my entire life ! I cannot see us going to other restaurants in Fonthill after attending my place ... If you go make sure to check the sinks in the bathroom !
