Is this really insurance?

Last April Mitchell had a significant hail storm. It will cost approximately $8,000 to replace my roof. All of my neighbors have had their roofs replaced or have been approved to be replaced in full less deductable. What do I get? 25% less $1000 deductable and work must be done in less than a year. They tell me this is a typical settlement. --- It maybe typical for West Wawanosh Mutual - a shame in the insurance industry. I recommend to buy insurance else where. Somewhere that will actually insure you.
