The philosophy of Zen Gardens is to bring health to people, to harmonize our life, and to return balance in nature. In addition, our philosophy strives to perpetuate the co-existence of human beings and creatures as part of the universe.
DELICIOUS!
Great vegetarian fair! I love when I see vegetarian restaurants outside of Toronto! This is a great one. I have been to many of its locations. Waiting for one to come to Burlington :)
I was unsure about what to expect from this vegetarian only spot. However I suprisingly enjoyed everything about the zen gardens.
The carrot soup, with sweet corn, appatizer was very flavourful, and I normally dislike the taste of carrot. Our meals were delicious, despite the appearance of my mushrooms (lol they look like little guniea pig droppings.) The dessert was a simple light cake to finish the meal. The green tea was also very good.
There is also a large selection of specialty teas and teapots to purchase at the back of the restaurant. Upon inquiring about the flowering teas, we were given a free one to take home and try.
Our waitress was very friendly and always available when needed. Overall a great experience!
Any reservations I once had about enjoying vegetarian cuisine no longer exist. The food was AMAZING! Flavorful, great presentation, amazing variety. The tea menu alone impressed me beyond belief. A definite must for anyone with an alternative diet, or for someone just looking to try something new. If you don't hate mushrooms(as so many do) I recommend the BBQ Buns.
