Carpenter Hospice, provides individuals who are dying, and their families, with high quality palliative care in a home-like setting. The hospice is dependent on the generosity of the community and fundraising for the majority of its operation revenue.
My father spent a week at Carpenter Hospice before peacefully passing. He had been ill at home for quite some time and then had a fall and was taken to the hospital, where he stayed for 10 days. Although the hospitsl staff did their best for my Dad, the difference between the care and atmosphere from the hospital to the hospice was truly remarkable. Carpenter House was a blessing for my Dad and our entire family. The kind and caring nurses, PSWs and volunteers made his last days comfortable.
Right from the start, the staff (including volunteers) welcomed our family with open arms. The best experience this side of heaven. We have a rather large extended family now thanks to these Earth Angels.
