The food is great...THE best Thai food I can find in the GTA after visiting numerous different places.
The ambience makes a strong attempt to be reminiscent of Thailand, which is very appropriate for the wholesome food you receive.
The wait staff is quite good from my experience, They're always at your side as soon as your glass is almost empty.
The pad Thai is the best I've ever had...not dry like other places.
The thai special is amazing...I have yet to find a place that can compare to this perfect soup.
The food here is so amazing. We don't make our way to Brampton often, but it is worth the trip in from Toronto for that food.
Service is mediocre at best. But the appeal is the food.
I always give these guys a try...hoping for improvments...but their food tastes generic and anything but authentic....WAY too much sauce in all the dishes...and no variety in taste....Especially not for Thai food.
Bad Bad Bad. Their service was slow too.

We have been eating at Sahla Thai for many years! We LOVE it! Food is great. We have tried many items and have liked them all. We usually get take-out every other Friday night. I would definitely recommend!
Everytime I visit this restaurant the service is great ,and more importantly , the food is excellent! very flavourful. My all time favourite restaurant!

We have eaten at Sahla Thai many times and really like the food. We have tried several dishes but prefer the above choices only. The pad thai is Ok, some of the other dishes were hit and miss. We love the mushroom lovers dish and the soup. The prices have gone up recently and not sure how often we will be back. The service has been good. I would not recommend takeout, very pricey and not much in quantity.

I have eaten at sahla Thai many times in the last couple of years. I strongly recomend this restaurant. The food is amazing. I have to admit the service was bad but I have noticed a huge difference in the last couple times we have gone. We went before because the food was good so we excused the service but now that the service has got better. I would strongly recomend it! This restaurant in my opinion went from a 6 and worked its way back up to a 9.

Our experience was not awful, but not enough to ever visit again. We were seated right away, and our orders were taken quickly. When asked if we could have a pot of tea, we were told it was only available by the cup, with no refills, so we stuck with water to drink - our glasses were filled on a regular basis.
When the appetizer arrived it looked unappealing and was tasteless, however plentiful in quantity. Our entrees arrived shortly after, and while the peanut chicken was uneventful, the garlic chicken was atrocious. It was essentially hunks of chicken in a broth that could have been melted garlic with a dash of butter. The sauce was as runny as water, and when poured over rice made the rice look like baby vomit.
While eating one group of people were kept waiting for a table for more than 10 minutes, even though there were only 3 tables of people in the entire restaurant. Eventually to get a seat the had to enter the eating area and verbally accost a staff member for attention.
After finished the dishes were cleared quickly, but there was never any offer of tea, coffee, or dessert. Also, the bill took over 20 minutes to come to the table, with no staff accessible to ask for it sooner. During this time another group of people came, waited for a table, then left in frustration.
In short, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. There is too much Thai in the city to suffer bad service, a bland menu, and bad food.
This was the first time we have gone to Sahla Thai. Our friends recommended it to us saying that the food is great but warned us about the service. However, they must have gone on a bad day because our server was simply fabulous! Great smile, so much energy, just a pleasure to have serving us! Everything was great from finish to start! Atmosphere was nice, great decor, fancy music! Overall i look foward to another occasion to eat here again!

Best Thai Food in all of southern Ontario. I have bee to so many Thai food or should I say fake Thai food restuarants, Sahla Thai is the real deal. I travel from Waterloo to dine there.

The food is generally quite good, although spice levels do vary. Its obvious when you order a level 4 and get a 2 that it is being decided that you dont know the spice level that you want. You can get spices brought to your table to correct the spice level, if you wish.
Food is good, service is generally quite bad. I've never been there when the tables are full, yet it's very difficult to locate a server for water, cheque, etc. I've stood at the door for over 10 minutes waiting to be seated while employees stood at the bar chatting.
Overall rating for good food/environment drops drastically when service is considered.
Servers are efficient, who cares if they smile? They are never incorrect with my orders and offer to adjust spice levels if neccesary. The service is slow only beacuse they are understaffed, though they are hiring. The food is consisently tasty,as i have been there many times and it has some of the best PAd thai around. Always impressed. One of my favorite restaurants ever.
