You could not ask for anything more as far as great veterinary services go then what the team at Legallais offer. From their friendly and personable front office staff, to their flexible and accommodating schedule, you always feel comfortable taking your pets their for quality care. All of the Vets (Dr.Doug, Nora and Jacqi) are very involved and extremely caring for the pets they care for and there is no question that their knowledge and skills are top notch.Keep up the great work!!!
Dedicated & Compassionate Vet Hospital in Aurora
Our family moved to the Aurora area about 7 ½ years ago and at that time we had two senior pets that have since passed away. All of our dealings with this hospital had been nothing less than positive. At no time did we feel like any of the doctors were anything less than professional, caring and compassionate, and well read on any of the issues we were facing. No matter what our concerns were, we would always get answers, or calls home, to help alleviate any of our concerns, many times even after their regular business hours. There was no doubt in our families minds when it came time to say goodbye, to our beloved pets, that this was a hospital that showed compassion, care, and concern for our pets and grieving family. All of the staff were a great support and helped in this transition tremendously. The flowers and card sent to us and the pet trust fund donation to the University of Guelph, in memory of our pets, to continue research into diseases to help other families pets was truly a remarkable gesture.
When it came time to add to our family again, without a doubt, we wanted to continue going to LeGallais Veterinary Hospital with our 3 family members. All of the doctors and staff at this hospital make you feel instantly welcome, and show a genuine interest and concern in your family members, furry or human. As soon as you walk in the door, and meet any of the staff, you’ll instantly feel like a part of their family and you’ll soon see how compassionate, dedicated, loving and caring this hospital is with their patients, clients and community. All of the accolades that adorn the mantle and walls speak volumes and are a great indication of this. You’ll instantly know your part of a larger family that truly does care for your pets and your family. I would highly recommend this hospital, without any doubt, to anyone who needs an honest and trustworthy hospital, that is compassionate, dedicated and truly cares about your pet(s) care and health needs.
It greatly disappointed me to read one of the reviews on this outstanding vet clinic (until I clicked on the person's account and see they have had other unfavourable experiences with businesses...go figure!) Dr. Doug and Dr. Nora may well be the most professional Animal people in York region. The staff is incredible and to my surprise even remembered both my dog and my daughter's name when we came back for our second visit. I have been taking my pets to see Dr. Doug for five years now, for both routine shots and for some scary times that turned out to be just allergies. If you are looking for a vet who cares for your pet's well being and understands how to treat you as your pet's owner, I highly recommend this clinic.
I have been living in aurora for about 6 years now and have been going to Dr Doug, Dr Nora and Dr Jacqui for about 5 years and they are some of the nicest people you would ever want working with your animals. The staff there is always so welcoming and always has cookies in hand for my dog Bailey. Bailey gets so excited to go there. I would recomend the Legallais vet hosp to everyone.
We took our persian cat to this vet in November 2009 because she was not eating, had diarrhea, and was puking fluid and very lethargic. We had Dr. Nora do an exam of her. She concluded that she has no idea what was wrong with her upon her inital examination, but that she was very dehydrated. She felt her stomach are and told us she had a tumor in her abdomen. We were terrified, we thought the worst, she even suggested we might have to euthanize her. Upon x-rays it was seen that the "tumor" was actually her kidney. I would love to know where these vets went to school as they cannot tell a kidney from a tumor.
Dr. Doug Legallais is a wonderful Veterinarian. I have being taking my dog champ to his clinic since we moved to Aurora in 2002.
I would recommend Dr. Doug to all my friends and family.
