Located in a space that is classically Old World and formerly filled with what felt like very appropriate smoke, Tom’s Little Havana will soon be moving; fingers crossed the old vibe moves, too. On a dark and stormy night, it’s the perfect space to seek comfort in a Caesar. They are just the perfect thickness here, with a spicy bite. Add one to brunch on the weekend for a small extra charge.
The address is a bit misleading, because you enter Tom's through the Fireside Restaurant on Birmingham St. (the two establishments share their roof, kitchen and ownership). Fans of the old Doyle Street location will find the new Tom's cozy and old-fashioned. The list of whiskies here is relatively small and made up of old, familiar favourites such as Macallan, Glenfiddich and Highland Park, but that fits perfectly with the bar's retro charm. Drop in on Sundays and Mondays, which are designated "Scotch Nights" with reduced pricing.
Located near Spring Garden Road, this is the quintessential Nova Scotia pub. Packed with old-world charm, Tom's Little Havana provides intimate spaces to enjoy some late-night pub food and enjoy a nice ale to wash it all down. Add in friendly and courteous staff, and it's no wonder Tom's makes regulars out of many of its happy customers.
