We ate at this restaurant for the first time on Saturday Dec 6. Not only was the food amazing the owner came over and said hello, introduced himself to us and asked what we ordered. The atmosphere was so relaxing and interesting at the same time. and I am going back Dec 20 for a romantic dinner for 2. I highly recommend this restaurant.
My wife and I loved this restaurant. We stopped here on the way to Halifax Public Garden. I ordered the salmon lox appetizer and it came looking and tasting spectacular. My wife had a really great pasta and the look on her face was so happy while she ate. We accompanied the meal with a moderately priced bottle of white wine. I wish we could visit this restaurant again but alas my wife passed away from cancer. We sat by a window table and people-watched the persons walking down the street as we waited a bit for our food and sipped wine. The restaurant is like an Italian cafe and we found it nicely decorated. We had a great waiter too.
The only burger on its menu, La Frasca definitely goes all out with its Wild Valley Boar Burger! From the radicchio relish to the garlic butter toasted bun, this burger is the very definition of gourmet. The dining experience here benefits from the restaurant’s beautiful interior. It features seating areas for large groups, as well as secluded tables for date nights. The staff here is extremely friendly, and more than willing to provide recommendations.
This restaurant prides itself on bringing “old and new together, with a modern twist on familiar tastes.” Located in the heart of downtown, you can’t go wrong with the restaurant, cuisine or location. Enjoy your meal and then walk down the street to one of Halifax’s many craft breweries to finish off the night.
