Able Concrete Ltd. was started in 1998 when Peter and Murray Wasylenchuk along with Stan Krahn saw a niche in the ready-mix market in Winnipeg. Together, they started up Able Concrete Ltd. located on the outskirts of Winnipeg. With some dedicated suppliers and loyal customers, they rapidly gained market share. The rapid pace caused some growing pains and in 2001 Building Products and Concrete Supply purchased the shares, investing much-needed capital in the growing operation. Over the years, between 2004 and 2008, two of the remaining founders went on to pursue other ventures, and the administration was taken over by Building Products.
