Speedy Auto Service Auto Repair Edmonton

Have been dealing with Speedy for 12 years now and am extremely happy with the service and help from this company. Always polite, tell it like it is and never put in things I don't need. I am confident with the work, honesty and care from all of the staff. I would recommend anyone with troubles to get an honest answer from these guys.

Took my son's car...

Took my son's car to get estimate for struts. Dealership wanted $1800. They looked at it and said really did not need doing. Glad I got a second opinion. Great service!

Rip off!

Very disappointed. I had my 1990 Cavalier come in to get a new Catalytic Converter put in. I was given a price for the work at $450.89. I needed this to get done in order for it to pass an out of province inspection so I said okay. I am a single mom and needed my car for work and driving my son to daycare right away. After getting the receipt I noticed that the part “15635” was $262.99 and they charged me $125.00 for 1 hour of labour. I called numerous auto part shops here in Edmonton and was given the price of $189.99 for this exact part! The gentleman at the other auto part shop told me that this was the only part that would fit in my vehicle. I don’t know much about vehicles and feel like I was ripped of because I don’t know much about them and the prices. I called back Speedy Auto Service and asked if I could get a price match as I couldn’t believe it was increased by $73.00 for the same part.The owner advised me that the price for the part was put in by head office and they just punch in a code and that’s how much it costs. I asked for the number to the head office so I could speak to them about this and he told me “were all privately owed and that the head office wouldn’t give me a refund or do anything for me”. I don’t recommend this shop at all especially if you feel like getting ripped off! He finally came out afterwards and told me that they increase the parts for sale… by $73.00… come on that is a little ridiculous your are making $125.00 for the hour.
